Book's Extraction 1 : How to Win Friends & Influence People

Disclaimer : This book was recommended by my mentor, Prof Har. So I share here what I think beneficial to anyones who re interested. As this book also was suggested by my cikgu, Saleh.
All in all, lets apply it !

PART 1 : Fundamental Techniques in Handling People 👬

🎭 P1 : Dont criticize, condemn, or complain.

When dealing with people, let us remember we re not dealing with creatures of logic. We re dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures bristling with prejudices and motivated by pride and vanity. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain. And most fools do. But it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.

🎭 P2 : Give honest and sincere appreciation

There is only one way under high heaven to get anybody to do anything. And that is by making the other person want to do it. The only way you can get people to do anything is by giving them what they want.
And what do people want : Desire to be great / desire to be important.

Many people who go insane find in insanity a feeling of importance that they were unable to achieve in the the world of reality. Imagine what miracle we can achieve by giving people honest appreciation side of insanity.

🎭 P3 : Arouse in the other person an eager want.

Henry Ford said "If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person's point of view and see things from that person's angle as well as from your owns"

Looking at the other person's point of view and arousing in him and eager want for something is not to be construed as manipulating that person so that he will do something that is only for your benefit and his detriment. Each party should gain from negotiation.

William Winter : "Self expression is the dominat necessity of human nature."
When we have a brilliant idea, instead of making others think it is ours, why not let them cook and stir the idea themselves. They will regard it as their own ; they will like it and maybe eat a couple of helpings of it.

Professor Overstreet wise advice : "First, arouse in the other person an eager want. He who can do this has the world with him. He who cannot walks a lonely way."
